What is Paper Machine Seam Felt ?

According to the seam type, the paper machine felt can be divided into seam press felt and endless press felt. The seam felt is a new technology for paper machine felt, it can save much installation time. The seam press felt have two types , one is single seam felt , another one is double seam felt.

Seam press felt is mainly used in the press section of paper machines, it is responsible for dewatering, supporting, and transferring wet paper sheets, increasing the dryness of paper sheets from about 20% to 40% -60%.

Adaptation: Mainstream paper types such as packaging paper, cultural paper, pulp board paper, specialty paper, etc.

The Structure of Seam Press Felt

Base Fabric Layer: nylon monofilament/multifilament weaving, providing strength and skeleton.

Batt Fiber Layer: Needle punched short fibers, responsible for water absorption, dehydration, and paper support.

Seam Zone: There are seam rings woven at both ends, which can be locked by inserting pins/core wires to form a continuous ring shape.
